This week we interview Susie Newborn, a founding member of Greenpeace when activism was pioneering ecological action. She signed the cheque that bought the boat which became the Rainbow Warrior and was the person who gave the boat this name.
Involved in saving whales and harp seals she was on the Rainbow Warrior that was captured by the Spaniards but stealthily escaped causing the admiral of the Spanish fleet to resign.
Susie is a human ecologist of green, social and artistic action and also a mother. Originally from the UK,Susie Newborn now resides on Waiheke Island.
Involved today in films, social justice and eco housing, listen to someone who has lived her life to the full and is still very much involved in community and life.
